When you take out insurance with us you provide us with personal information so we may provide you with the insurance best suited to your needs, as well as for regular correspondence. We assume your consent for our brokerage to use this information appropriately and professionally. This information is used to:
- Correspond with you
- Review your application to determine your acceptance as a client, and price
- Handle claims
- Detect and prevent fraud
- Analyze business figures
- Act as required or authorized by law.
We do not sell our client information to anyone. Any employees, suppliers, computer analysts etc. who are granted access to this information, are done so only with the knowledge that it is to be kept confidential. We also use safeguards to protect your information for those not authorized to have, or use it.
You may withdraw your implied consent at any time (subject to legal or contractual obligation and on providing us reasonable notice) by contacting our Privacy Officer. Please be advised that withdrawing your consent may prevent us from providing you with the requested product or service. For example, if you do not allow us to obtain information about your driving record, it is unlikely that we will be able to provide you with motor home or trailer insurance.
We may occasionally use your personal information to tell you about information that may be of interest to you with regards to discounts eg. security systems, and club memberships etc. If you would rather not receive this type of communication, please let us know through our Privacy Officer.
